In an effort to enhance discipleship at the Summit, the elders of our church and the small groups team are offering a class called Basic Beliefs.  In 4 weeks, one of our gifted teachers will present the big picture of the Christian worldview.  The four talks will follow this outline:  The Gospel, the Bible, God, and Church.  There will be plenty of Q & A time, so this is a great place to ask the hard questions about the Christian faith that you’ve been wanting to ask.  Dates and times for these classes are listed at the bottom of this post.

You should come to Basic Beliefs if you want learn how to communicate your faith better.  Whether you’ve been a Christian ten days or ten years, one of your roles as a follower of Christ is to tell others about him.  This series will serve as great training for you whether you need to build your understanding of the faith, or just need to hear how a “professional” communicates it.  Everyone who comes WILL learn a ton.

You should bring someone to Basic Beliefs if they’re:  new to Christianity, wanting to learn more about the faith in a short amount of time, or desiring to receive some discipleship from the elders of Summit.  In four condensed, action-packed weeks of teaching and interaction, your friends will be able to build a framework for a lifetime of following Christ.  The Basic claims of Christianity have the power of God to bring healing and redemption, and those who believe them will be agents for real change in a sin-stained world.

Look for announcement cards about Basic Beliefs this weekend.  Here are the dates and times at a location near you:

I serve in the Cuddlers during the second service which is when the Basic Belief’s class is offered…I want to attend….is the Equip Seminar: Gospel Defined (mentioned at the bottom of this page) that is being held at 6pm on the 7th, 14th, and 21st the same class? If not, I might be able to find a sub for the month of May for my spot. This is exactly the issue that I am struggling with…COMMUNICATING my faith to others! Thank you so much for offering this type of class! Gina Ausley
