Prison Ministry Action Meeting

Monday, October 10th at 7 PM

Location: Brier Creek, Cary/Apex and North Raleigh – in the Bay at the Brier Creek Campus.

In John 14, Jesus makes an absolutely astounding statement: “Truly, truly I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.” Pastor J.D. preached a sermon on missions on September 11th, if you weren’t here to hear it, I’d encourage you to watch it online.  He stated that those who really believe and abide in the gospel become fervent and bold in mission.

The prison ministry at the Summit provides you with an opportunity to do the works that Jesus has commanded us to do.  We currently have a relationship with 27 men in Wake Correctional who are desperate for a man or couple to mentor them and show them Christ in a real way.  There are also countless other opportunities to get involved by finding resources, supporting families, writing letters and much more.

Hebrews 13:2-3 says, “Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body.”

Join us on Monday, October 10th at 7pm to learn about the next steps to take to be a part of this amazing journey.   Details at www.summitrdu.com/prison.
