This post comes from the Summit’s lead pastor, J.D. Greear.
I was recently asked why we don’t have a “Summit Bible reading plan.” It was a good question, but my short answer is that there are 1000 out there and I don’t want us to just reinvent the wheel for the sake of doing it.
We focus on reading the Bible together as small groups study passages each week. Small groups are studying and reading passages of Scripture together, and this gives you a great, manageable way to read and reflect at home and then flesh out your findings with others.
That said, it is a very good idea to supplement your small group time by reading the Bible through. Here is a very easy tool to do that, giving you 6 ways you can have your daily Bible reading served up to you… RSS, email, podcast. Pretty amazing. Check it out!
