Here’s an important announcement for single adults at Summit:  on Saturday night, June 25th, we’re providing an opportunity to connect with others who are in the same life-stage.  This will be a great chance to fellowship, eat, and pray with other single adults in their mid-to-late 30′s, 40′s, and 50′s who go to summit or live in your community.

A quick look at some recent Raleigh-Durham census numbers shows an exciting opportunity for the spread of the Gospel.  Right now, 55% of all adults aged 35-64 in RDU are single.  This demographic has its own unique set of interests, concerns, talents, and social patterns.  We here at the Summit would like to explore the possibility of uniting the folks in our church who could minister to a rather large segment of our city with the Gospel.

The theme verse for the evening will be Colossians 2:2, which says “my goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ.”  We’ll spend some reflecting on this verse, and what it means for our lives and our church.  We will also spend some time eating, fellowshipping, praying, and then playing games- all in an effort to get to know one another.

So if you would like to meet other single adults in our church and community, please come join us on Saturday, June 25th at 5:45 in Suite 111.  Pizza and soda is on us and child care is available.  You can email lynn.kulla@duke.edu or Facebook us here to let us know that you are coming.

If you can’t make it to this event, but are interested in other events like this, please email lynn.kulla@duke.edu.
