Summit Small Group Leader Rally
Saturday, January 8th from 8:00 AM – Noon in the Bay
The SGL Rally is a time when the Small Groups Team gathers all of our current and future small group leaders from all campuses. This event only happens twice a year. Join us for this time of worship, vision casting, equipping, and celebration. This is mandatory for all small group leaders but open to those interested in leading in the future.
Please RSVP on the website, which you can get to from this link. Here’s a word from Spence Shelton, our small groups pastor, about Saturday:
Hey Summit!
As you have probably heard, the Summit planted 90 new small group in 2010! Now that’s something to Praise God about!
How were we able to accomplish this amazing feat? Well God has been gracious to continue to draw people through you and your faithfulness to share Christ with others and invite them into a community of faith. The best way people really get connect to the Summit is through a small group.
All of our small groups have been challenged to plant a new small group each year. That means we are always looking to plug new people into small groups and send others out to start new groups. Much of the training and equipping for our small group leaders happens at our Small Group Leader Rally. The Rally is a time of worship, vision casting, equipping, and celebration. If you’re a small group leader at any one of our campuses, we’ll expect to see you on Saturday (please RSVP). If you’re interested in leading a small group in the future and want to see what it takes to be a small group leader at the Summit, we’d love to have you with us as well.
Spence,
I went through the class to become a member and never heard from anyone about being announced or accepted. Is there something else I need to do? Could you tell me who I should ask about this?
Also I would like to read the book required to become a Small Group leader. Where can I get a copy?
Thanks Jeff
