This week on the Small Group Weekly Update.
Here is the small group study Leader Guide and Member Guide that goes along with this week’s sermon.
Here are some announcements:
1. Frontline is almost here. September 11, be there
2. GroupLink is only 2 weeks away. Whoa. If your group is going to be represented at GroupLink, we need your info by Next Wednesday September 8, at NOON. Sorry, that is the cutoff.
3. Financial Peace University starts up next week in 2 locations.
4. Saturday Nights at the Summit. See the video below.
I was sent a follow up requirment list for those wanting to lead a SGs. It said someone who wants to lead must become a member (When is the next membership?) read two books (Where do I get those?) and must be in a group for 6 months and must be interviewed by a pastor (When does that take place?)
Thanks
I am a small group leader. What info do I need to get to you for Grouplink?
Jeff, thanks for the comment. Best way to become a small group leader? Join a small group. Grouplink is this coming weekend at every service. That’s a big first step. Your small group leader can then give you information about next steps from there. But since you asked, let me give you a couple of dates for the membership class called Starting Point and let you know what books are part of our “Leadership Pipeline”-
Starting Point: October 2nd at Brier Creek am
October 8th at West Club
September 25th, Brier Creek pm (marathon, all 3 parts in one evening).
Leadership Pipeline Reading: Cross-Centered Life by CJ Maheny
The Treasure Principle by Randy Alcorn
Why Small Groups by CJ Maheny
The Reason for God by Tim Keller
That should get you started!
