Small Groups Update: The Egg0

Ok, I know it feels like only small group stuff shows up on this page, but dont worry more stuff is coming next week. In the meantime, check out what is happening in the life of the Summit here below

1. Small Group Leader Rally this Saturday, 8am to 12noon. RSVP, especially if you need childcare.

4. How To Navigate Hot Button Issues – As we get into the 6th commandment this coming week in our groups, it will be easy to wander off into dangerous territory in your group discussions. As a group leader, you have to walk the line between engaging in a heavy political debate and simply ignoring the significance of the issues at hand. How? Hold tight to the scriptures and make sure everything you are concluding comes from the text itself. Use your leader notes in this one. Another good idea: before going into the discussion, acknowledge to your group that you know this conversation could open up some intense emotions and perspectives. Let them know that tonight especially, you are going to do your best to guide the discussion and that may mean cutting off and changing direction during the night. This is OK! Just make sure to do it in advance.  Go Get Em!
