we recognize the blog has been announcement heavy as of late. Hope you will forgive us in our excitement. This particular headline is not from the Summit, but involves one of our Pastors and we are pretty excited for him. there we go again.

Phil Wiggins, One of the Summit’s Pastors, was nominated this year as the chaplain for the national fraternal order of police. This prestigious honor came with the responsibility to give the opening prayer at this year’s National Peace Officer’s memorial service held at the Capitol Building this past weekend. Phil served for many years on the City of Durham’s police department before retiring and moving into pastoral ministry here at the Summit.

You can see his pretty mug taking the stage with our commander-in-chief at the beginning of the video coverage by C-SPAN. Phil’s appearance ends at the 1:18 mark but we aren’t too savvy on video editing so you get the whole clip if you want. Way to go Phil! Watch Below, and remember we are in no way making a political statement of any kind because our president is on our website.
