The Summit Young Pros is a ministry geared towards young adults of the Triangle. These guys are rocking it out every other Thursday night with such a strategic group of people and we thought you should get to know them. Watch the video below for a brief introduction. Below that is an excerpt from a recent message at one of their Thursday night gatherings.

Series: Grand Narrative (A brief look at the entire bible)
Message: Final message of the series – Revelation
“Obsessing over when the end times will come is not the point at all! In actuality, it is similar to being consumed with the birth pains of labor as opposed to the joy of the child. Crazy things will happen, but they are not worth all our focus. Rather they give way to what should be the focus; the beautiful picture of a new creation that God has in store for us.
See, this story ends with redemption being fully realized. Remember that redemption was already complete on the cross of Christ. With Jesus’ finished work it was completed, and we were sealed with the Holy Spirit after hearing the Gospel and trusting God with belief. However, looking at the world for about 2 seconds can make you realize that this is not the place of peace we long for, but it is coming! Revelation 21:1-5 reads:
1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
What a Picture! It is a new heaven and a new earth totally cleansed from sin and evil. The Holy City, the New Jerusalem, descends from heaven in a graphic depiction of restored unity between God and His creation. So in looking holistically at the Scriptures we have a picture of love. Rebellion caused separation, but God would not leave us there. He moved on our behalf in sending His Son who completes our redemption. With this, we are left waiting and working to see it fully realized. Amen.”
