PRAY:

-Last Friday, thousands of Afghans overran a United Nations compound, killing 12, while protesting for the arrest of an American pastor who burned a Quran.  They were incited by the teachings of mullahs, or Islamic religious leaders.  Mullahs have strong influence in this country that is 99.85% Muslim and under Sharia law.  Only 28% of Afghans can read, so they look to religious leaders to teach them about Islam.  Pray that Afghans would question what they are taught by men, and seek to be taught by God.  Ask that God would give believers miraculous opportunities to share stories of the good news of Jesus Christ.  Praise God that He is the Teacher of all nations!

-There have been some incredible stories of people coming to faith recently.  Ask that believers be strengthened in the love of God as they face great persecution, including the death penalty according to Sharia law.  Praise Jesus for this beautiful country and the great things He has in store for these beautiful people.
