Pray:
-The Commission for the Rights and welfare of Children and Women is currently seeking to pass legislation that advocates a two-child standard in an attempt to control population in India. This could cause families with more than two children to be punished with a 10,000 Rs fine or a three month jail sentence, as well as disqualification from state benefits. Please pray for wisdom for the government, and a great understanding of the sanctity of life for the masses.
-Praise the LORD for greater freedom that the most recent election brought to India. There has also been a decrease in power of extremist groups, an increase in economic growth, and a weakening of the caste system. Ask the LORD to continue to open doors for His children to glorify His name as He brings redemption to a hurting, impoverished land.
-Pray for the thousands of national believers who are seeking to spread the truth of God’s love to people groups who have never heard the gospel in their own language. Ask the LORD to grant each believer a deep understanding of His love shown through Christ, and that they would be one as God is one. Pray that those who are being persecuted for the gospel will be strengthened by the Spirit, and that they will be able to rest in the hope of His coming Kingdom.
