Pray for Libya

” But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.” 1 Peter 2:9-10

Evangelism of Libyan nationals is illegal and any Muslim who leaves the faith could face shame, disownment or death. Technically, other faiths are allowed to worship in their homes but they cannot gather in groups larger than 6 people.

-          Pray continually for the people in Libya, that throughout the outbreaks, violence and the rough political climate, that God would bring peace to this nation, and its people. Pray that their hearts would be changed toward the one true God.

-          Praise God that Libya, though 97% Muslim, has a growing Christian population. Pray for the Church’s continued growth.  Ask that believers would have courage and strength in God.
