Pakistan’s only Christian cabinet minister, Shahbaz Bhatti, was shot and killed last week. Bhatti is the second political official this year to be assassinated after opposing the blasphemy laws which impose the death penalty on anyone who insults Islam. The video embedded below shows an interview with Bhatti four months before his tragic death. However, it also shows this man’s unwavering faith and Christ’s victory as Bhatti is now in heaven with his King!
Pray:
-not for a concept, or for a religion, but for the abundant life which Christ has graciously given to be experienced by the lost people of Pakistan, by grace through faith.
-for those who sincerely believe to be strengthened by God’s Spirit to love and forgive their enemies as Christ did, to boldly stand up for their beliefs, and to make Christ’s name known and glorified.
-that God will send more workers into this harvest field. Opportunities with medical, educational, and equipping ministries are numerous, but laborers are few.
