Pray:
- This week marked the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, which killed nearly 3,000 people. Pray for the families who lost their loved ones and others who were affected by the deep tragedy. Praise God for how He used 9/11 to ignite a thirst for Truth and desperation for Him. Pray that He would remind us of that desperation again – for Him to be our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Ask God to reawaken His Church in a culture where idols and apathy are rampant.
- Praise god for the religious freedom we have in the United States. Praise Him for the abundance of churches and access to Scripture and theological training. Thank Christ for how He is growing His church and teaching them to radically follow Christ amidst a “culturally Christian” society. Pray that American believers would be a people of prayer and a people who exalt the Word of God in their hearts.
- Pray for wisdom and strength for our country’s leaders as they make decisions affecting national and international policy. Pray that we would understand that with great power comes great responsibility .
