Pray:

-  Over the past 20 years, the Lord’s Resistance Army, a militant group based in Uganda, has committed countless atrocities and spreads fear wherever it goes.  Now the LRA is not only in Uganda but also the neighboring countries of south Sudan, the Congo, and the central African Republic.  Pray for the 800,000 displaced peoples who were forced by the LRA to leave their homes and live in difficult situations.  Pray that the Lord will work in the hearts of Ugandans and the LRA so that there might be peace and reconciliation in this country.

-Praise God!  In Uganda, there are widespread prayer movements and a strong evangelical presence.  Church attendance is high and public prayer is common even in government and judicial buildings.  Pray that the grace that is reaching more and more people would cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.

-  Pray for Uganda’s battle against AIDS.  Praise God that the prevalence of AIDS has reduced from 25% in 1992 to below 10% in 2001.  Pray for AIDS victims as well as the churches and agencies who are working with AIds support and education in Uganda.
